2. RED FERRARI PORTOFINO AND MODEL WITH RED DRESS
Many people, when they believe about a Ferrari, consider just one color: red. The standard Rosso Corsa, or racing red, has been the overwhelming favorite among Ferrari owners for many years but recently, the preference has changed. The quintessential color, while still typically the most popular, are at an all-time low (40 percent), giving way to other available choices: yellow, white, silver, and black.
While other supercar companies like Lamborghini produce cars having an endless selection of colors in matt, gloss, and metallic finishes, Ferrari has remained conservative. It’s all related to Ferrari’s jealously protected brand image. So, when Ferrari promotes among their cars having an attractive female model, what does she wear? A red dress, of course—and a conservative one, at that.
1. BUGATTI’S MOST EXPENSIVE SUPERCAR
Luxury sports car builder Bugatti unveiled the absolute most expensive new car available earlier this month. The one-off supercar, La Voiture Noire, was intended to celebrate the brand’s 110th anniversary and to pay for homage to an extremely rare, all-black luxury coupe made in the 1930s: the Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic. Only four of the limited edition Atlantics were ever made. Designer and car collector Ralph Lauren owns one, that is valued at $40 million.
The newest Bugatti La Voiture Noire posseses an astonishing cost of nearly $19 million. Anyone disappointed by losing the ability to get one can still obtain a Bugatti Chiron, that includes a production run of just 500 cars but sells for the bargain price of $3 million.
